She also has a special place in her heart for working with children or adolescents of immigrants.

Dr. Launer operates from a client-centered and humanistic orientation which focuses on identifying and building on the strengths of her patients and families. Her approach often incorporates the use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and emotional regulation techniques. She is trained in a number of evidenced-based modalities including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Family Based Treatment for eating disorders (FBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), The Kazdin Method and Barkley protocols for child behavior management, and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).

Dr. Launer recognizes that not all people will benefit from the same treatment approach, so she strives to partner with her families to focus on their goals.
