Full-Time Licensed Clinical Staff Psychologist

The Chicago Center for Growth and Change is made up of a team of clinical psychologists with advanced training in several specialty treatments who work with individuals, families, couples, and groups. We are passionate about building relationships with people from many walks of life and treat a wide range of presenting concerns. One of the practice’s specialty areas is trauma and we use innovative, creative, treatment options to tailor our care to each individual’s needs. In addition to using interpersonal and cognitive-behavioral therapies, we also use several specialty treatments including Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, Psychodrama, and Gottman Couples Therapy.

We seek a candidate with a drive to continue to learn and grow professionally. Our psychologists have a generalist background with advanced training in multiple specialty areas. We support continuing education to provide the most up-to-date and cutting-edge treatments. We offer a post-doctoral fellowship and there is an opportunity to provide clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intakes, individual, couples, and family therapy to a diverse clientele
  • Provide a minimum of 25 clinical hours per week
  • Provide 2 hours of clinical supervision to our post-doctoral fellows (this counts toward the 25 minimum clinical hours per week)
  • Attend a weekly staff/case consultation group on Tuesdays
  • Maintain up-to-date clinical records and documentation for all patients

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA accredited program
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois
  • Must have clinical supervision experience
  • Experience working in an outpatient therapy setting with a diverse clientele in regards to age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and religion
  • Must have an interest in trauma and/or couples therapy
  • Special consideration given to applicants with training in EMDR and/or Gottman Couples Therapy
  • Must be available on Tuesdays
  • Must have excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills
